Baton Engineering is a class‑approved underwater welding company with highly experienced, certified welders and validated welding procedures across most positions. With AWS & ISO certified diver‑welders, we deliver safe, efficient repairs for ships, offshore rigs, pipelines — even in the most demanding underwater environments.
Contact us for welding servicesBaton Engineering holds a broad collection of certifications to guarantee the quality and compliance of our work:
Underwater welding is critical for maintaining the integrity and functionality of maritime assets below the waterline. As a class‑approved specialist, we support operational efficiency, safety, and structural reliability across your vessels and offshore structures.
We perform class‑approved wet & dry underwater welding on all types of vessels—repairing hull plating, structural components, sea chest thrusters—without the need for dry‑docking.
From emergency fixes to scheduled maintenance on platforms, pipelines, and foundations, our divers execute welding tasks under high pressure using advanced hyperbaric solutions and wet‑arc welding tools.
Performed under controlled pressure environments, ideal for pipelines, rig foundations, and metal integrity repairs.
Emergency welding using SMAW, FCAW, friction welding—carried out by trained divers to minimize cracking and maximize joint quality.
Class‑approved procedures for fillet welds in all positions. Butt welds follow pending class‑in‑use qualifications.
An oil Drilling is a boring in the Earth that is designed to bring petroleum oil hydrocarbons to the surface. Usually some natural gas is released as associated petroleum gas along with the oil. A Drilling that is designed to produce only gas may be termed a gas Drilling.
Gas flaring refers to the combustion of associated gas generated during various processes including oil and gas recovery, CBM production, petrochemical process and landfill gas extraction. The typical flare used in the oil and gas industry is composed of a boom or stack which collects the unwanted gases to be flared.
An oil refinery or petroleum refinery is an industrial process plant where crude oil is transformed and refined into more useful products such as petroleum naphtha, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt base, heating oil, kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas, jet fuel and fuel oils.
Completion (oil and gas wells) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Well completion is the process of making a well ready for production (or injection) after drilling operations.
We will make every effort to approach each project in the most productive and cost effective manner.

The petroleum industry, also known as the oil industry or the oil patch, includes the global processes of exploration, extraction, refining, transporting (often by oil tankers and pipelines), and marketing of petroleum products. The largest volume products of the industry are fuel oil and gasoline (petrol).
Petroleum engineering is a field of engineering concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. Exploration and production are deemed to fall within the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.

Increase pump efficiency, minimize equipment failures, and reduce downtime on location.
Rig Crew
Downtime is the oil and gas industry’s number one enemy. In an environment where equipment is expected to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week under extreme conditions, downtime caused by equipment failure can quickly put a company out of business. Oil analysis can predict equipment failure before it happens and eliminate downtime – saving you time and money.
Oil Analysis can not only detect equipment failures in progress but point you straight to the root cause of a problem, enabling you to prevent catastrophic failures and costly losses in production. No matter what the application – on – or off-shore drilling, field services or oil & gas production – if equipment is down, it’s costing you money. Highly contaminated operating environments, extreme operating conditions and the economics of equipment replacement only increase the value of oil analysis as a necessary part of managing asset reliability.
Coolant Analysis takes the guess work out of properly maintaining a cooling system and can identify maintenance problems before catastrophic engine failure occurs. Regular coolant testing and routine maintenance can help you achieve maximum system efficiency and save you time and money in less downtime, fewer repairs and determining proper drain intervals.
Diesel and natural gas engine oils should be tested routinely for contamination and wear.
Replacement units/parts may be difficult to obtain – valuable time and money are lost in downtime.
Biggest concern is water contamination, which accelerates acid formation, increases oxidation and reduces lubricity – all leading to system failure.
The biggest concern for gear systems is the type of wear occurring in the system, which is often caused by dirt and water. Gearboxes should be closely monitored for dirt and water contamination. Particle Quantifier provides an index number of ferrous particles. PQ reports a quantitative value which indicated the amount of ferrous wear occurring.
Turbine reliability is always critical and oil changes or failures are always expensive. Routine trend analysis is crucial to predictive turbine maintenance.
